In the tiny coastal village of Agulhas, the lodge lies against a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with its rocky shoreline. It is an area of rugged beauty, five minutes from Africa's southernmost point named Cabo de Agulhas (Cape of Needles) by Portuguese seafarers in years past. The guesthouse is a drive of just under three hours from Cape Town.
Agulhas Country Lodge has eight individually decorated rooms, all with ocean-view balconies. Ensuite bathrooms are fitted with showers or showers and baths. The two honeymoon rooms feature a jacuzzi and double shower. Rooms are airconditioned and feature tea/coffee-making facilities and satellite television.
The lodge features a restaurant where breakfasts and dinners are served. The top floor is home to a large bar area with a separate cigar lounge, the ideal place to relax and socialize after the day's adventures. Two fireplaces are very popular when storms rage in this area, renowned for occasional severe weather during the winter months.
