Location & Setting

The lodge is on Xaxaba Island, a twenty-minute flight from Maun in the deepest reaches of the Okavango Delta. It is set under giant riverside trees with tall palm trees dotting the surrounding bush and has access to permanent water. The setting is characterized by pristine natural beauty in isolation from the modern world.

Rooms

Eagle Island accommodates guests in twelve luxury tents with en suite facilities. The tents are raised on wooden platforms and shaded by large thatched roofs. Each tent has a private wooden deck equipped with lazy chairs and a hammock - the ideal place to relax and unwind. The camp offers a large central dining and lounge area tastefully decorated to blend in with the natural surroundings.

Facilities

The camp's large swimming pool is the perfect place to cool down on the warm summer days. A unique feature is the Fish Eagle Bar, a short stroll from the camp on its private islet. A late afternoon drink with the African dusk painting a vivid tapestry of colors in the sky is sure to count amongst your most treasured memories. Dinner may be enjoyed in front of a log fire or at the off-site bush dining area, equipped with a telescope for viewing the exceptional night skies of the Delta.
