Fish River Lodge is perched on the edge of Fish River Canyon, one of the world's largest canyons located in the south of Namibia. It is over 160 km (99 mi) long, 27 km ( 17 mi) wide, and over 500 m (1640 ft) deep. It was formed 500 million years ago by tectonic movement and erosion and is a natural spectacle to behold. When traveling here, it is advisable to overnight en route from Windhoek or Swakopmund underway to the canyon. The small town of Aus is a good choice.
The lodge's rooms offer intimate luxury and stunning views. They feature modern facilities and private decks for relaxing and savoring the natural surroundings. Decoration includes natural elements like wood and stone to create an earthy ambiance.
The central areas include a spacious bar, lounge, and restaurant, where guests can enjoy Namibian dishes with a strong German influence. The pool is an oasis during the hot summer months.
