Highlights & What to Expect

With more than 350 bird species, it is a true natural paradise and an excellent destination for a safari in South Africa.
Well-trained rangers and trackers conduct informative safari activities. These adventures are conducted on specially converted 4x4 vehicles and foot.
Madikwe Game Reserve lies in the transition zone between eastern bushveld and the semi-arid Kalahari, an ideal habitat for some species not found in the Kruger National Park.
Eland (Africa's largest antelope), gemsbok, springbok, tsessebe, and red hartebeest are antelope rarely seen in Kruger but abundant in Madikwe.

Location & Setting

Impodimo lies on a rocky ridge with expansive views of the landscape of Madikwe Game Reserve. The reserve is in the northwestern part of South Africa and borders Botswana, a drive of about four and a half hours from Johannesburg. Daily scheduled charter flights connect the reserve to the international airport in Johannesburg.

Rooms

Impodimo Lodge offers limited accommodation in 9 suites, with full en suite facilities and an outdoor shower, fireplace, covered patio, and air-conditioning. One of the nine suites is deluxe, including a lounge and dining room, a private boma deck, and a private plunge pool.

Facilities

The main lodge features a lounge, dining area, and viewing deck. In between the game viewing, enjoy fine pan-African cuisine or relax by the pool, ending the day sharing stories and enjoying a nightcap around the fire in the boma. Impodimo Lodge is a perfect place to experience Africa. Children of all ages are welcome, with special child-friendly activities and babysitting services available.
