Affordable Safari Lodge Adventures

Overview of personal South African Safaris

From the world-renowned Greater Kruger National Park to the family-friendly parks and reserves of the Eastern Cape and North West provinces, the wide variety of lodges available caters to various budgets. Our personal safari packages in South Africa combine the convenience of a fly-in safari experience with high-quality, inclusive lodges that do not break the bank.

Your personal safari will typically depart from and return to Johannesburg, flying to one of the regional airports in the Lowveld like Skukuza, Hoedspruit, or Nelspruit. Here you will be met and transferred to the lodge, where you will be in the care of friendly lodge staff and experienced rangers for your stay. Safari activities – like game drives and bush walks – are standard inclusions, while beverages, curio shop purchases, and spa treatments (where available) are generally charged separately.

Days on safari begin just before dawn, with a wake-up call and a cup of coffee. You'll then venture out into the wilderness as day breaks – a time of peak animal activity, particularly for predators. The second safari is conducted as the sun sets and leads into the early evening – ideal for encountering nocturnal creatures like genets, porcupines, and hyenas. Dinner is served upon your return. Lodge staff frequently surprise guests with 'boma nights,' where the traditional fare is served in an open-air environment under the stars, often accompanied by music and performance.
