Location & Setting

Olifants Camp is perched on a hill overlooking the Olifants River Valley. The camp marks the divide between the southern and northern Kruger Park and features vegetation that ranges from marula, knobthorn acacia, and mopane veld. To the east is the Lebombo Mountains, with their unique ecology that provides an ideal habitat to some animals, including the little Klipspringer.

Olifants has a restaurant and cafeteria, and a small convenience and curio shop are available. A filling station, shops, and laundromat form part of the infrastructure. The camp offers guided game drives for those over the age of six years and guided bush walks for those over 12, all in the company of experienced and professional field guides. The river walk that traces the handsome spine of the Olifants is one of the more unique and rewarding bush walk experiences available in the park.
