After being met by an African Sky representative, guests are assisted with check-in for a charter flight to Sabi Sand and Nkorho Bush Lodge. Nkorho is located in the northern part of this Big Five game reserve and has an official rating of personals - the ideal choice for a value safari in the Sabi Sand. The afternoon is devoted to a first game drive accompanied by an Nkorho ranger in search of the Big Five and the other mammals which grace the African savanna.
The area in the northeastern section of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve where the morning and afternoon safaris are conducted shares an unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park . Animal sightings are exceptional and the area has the advantage of having a much lower vehicle density than the northwestern part of the Sabi Sand.
Guests are awoken shortly before sunrise by lodge staff. Some snacks and coffee are then enjoyed before embarking on the morning open 4x4 safari shortly after the break of dawn. This time of day sees the bush come alive with animal movement. The late afternoon is once again devoted to a game drive, with the rest of the day set aside for relaxation or an optional bush walk.
A morning game drive at Nkorho Bush Lodge is followed by breakfast, after which guests are transferred to a local airstrip for a flight to Johannesburg where a memorable value safari in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve comes to an end.
