Various antelope species occur throughout Addo, and visitors should look for the flightless dung beetle found almost nowhere else.

From: POAAddo Main Camp in the Addo Elephant National Park is about seventy-five kilometers from the airport in Port Elizabeth in the southeastern part of South Africa. The camp overlooks a floodlit waterhole that attracts animals of all sizes, ranging from the tiny blue duiker to the African elephant.
Addo Main Camp offers a variety of accommodation types, ranging from guest houses to chalets. Every room procured through African Sky is private with an en suite bathroom. Guests can choose between double, twin, or single beds when booking a stay at the camp. A few multi-bedroom units are also available. All accommodation types are serviced daily. The structures have been built in the traditional style of 'rondavels' under thatch.
The rondavels overlook a floodlit waterhole. Guests can relax on the verandah of their rondavel while observing animals arriving to quench their thirst. Guests are also welcome to use the lookout platform or underground hide, where an even closer encounter may be savored. An a la carte restaurant is available for dining. The camp also hosts a small shop where basic amenities and curios can be purchased.
