From: POADennehof is in Prince Albert, set at the foot of the Swartberg Pass, a most impressive passage through the mountain range that bears the same name. Sheer cliffs surround it, with many waterfalls and crystal-clear streams. It is located just over two hours from George on the Garden Route and over four hours from Cape Town.
Dennehof is set in a lush garden, a true oasis in the dry landscape of the Karoo. It offers comfortable accommodation in eight rooms decorated individually with character and style. Rooms are en suite, each offering splendid views of the Swartberg Mountains or surrounding farmland grazed by cattle and angora goats. The service at this property is very personal; the hospitality and attention to detail will leave a lasting impression.
The guest house is ideal for enjoying the activities and attractions in and around Prince Albert. Guests may spend time browsing through the multitude of small shops offering antiques and local arts and crafts or devote an evening to the tales and fables of the "Story Weaver" as she walks guests through the history of the town, its legends, and ghosts. Nature activities include botany tours and visits to the Wolwekraal Nature Reserve, the only formally protected area of succulent Karoo vegetation.
