River Place Manor is in the northern part of South Africa's Northern Cape Province. It overlooks the Orange River, the border between South Africa and Namibia. Upington is just under nine hours from Cape Town and over nine hours from Johannesburg. The town has an airport, and the easiest way to reach this outpost is with flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
River Place Manor has fifteen luxury rooms, all with river views. Room categories include Superior Double Rooms, Superior Family Rooms, and Deluxe Rooms. All rooms are spacious, with wooden floors, en-suite bathrooms, and air-conditioning. Each room opens onto a balcony with splendid views and a private seating area.
A vineyard borders central areas. These areas include a lounge/dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. There is a reception as well as well as an expansive porch in front of the property.
