Hermanus is famous for being one of the finest destinations in the world for land-based whale watching and is one of South Africa's premier seaside resorts.

Seafood served depends on what is in season and available and can range from marlin to Cape salmon. Fresher mussels cannot be found, as they are plucked right off the rocks in front of the hotel.
