The hotel is steeped in rich colonial history and offers a majestic natural setting in one of the highest rainfall areas in the northern part of South Africa. The hotel is five hours from Johannesburg and an hour and a half from the Phalaborwa entry gate to the Kruger National Park.
Guests are accommodated in 38 well-appointed en suite rooms, of which nine are suites, 21 are premier double rooms, and five are classic single rooms. Each room and suite has its veranda with sweeping views of the Drakensberg Mountains. The rooms are invigorated daily with fresh flowers, homemade biscuits, and spring water. The premier rooms and suites have log fireplaces that offer comfort and warmth on cold winter nights.
