Location & Setting

Deception Valley, situated in the northeastern corner of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, is an exceptional location for an off-the-beaten-track safari in Botswana. The reserve incorporates vast Kalahari landscapes roamed by hardy animals, dry riverbeds, and salt pans. Though it is possible to travel overland the area, clients are advised to opt for a light charter flight from Maun or Gabarone.

Rooms

Eight large private suites offer accommodation in the unique Kalahari setting. The suites' interiors harmoniously blend rustic elegance and contemporary convenience. Regional artwork and traditional crafts give the suites an aura of authenticity. Each unit features king-sized beds and bathrooms with both inside and outside showers. Each suite also has a private viewing deck.

Facilities

Central areas include various spaces for relaxing with a book in hand, a dining area, and a bar. The wooden deck in front of the main area leads to a boma where dinners are enjoyed surrounding a fire under the great expanse of the star-studded southern heavens - an experience in its own right. The pool is an ideal reprieve from the heat of summer. Well-trained chefs create mouthwatering dishes. The lodge has a private airstrip.
