The stargazing opportunities are extraordinary. The NamibRand is the first International Dark Sky Reserve designated in Africa, making it one of the areas with the least amount of light pollution worldwide.
Guided nature walks, hot air balloon rides, and stargazing are a few of the activities available at Kwessi Dunes for exploring the breathtaking landscape.
On game drives, you can spot wildlife, such as oryx, Hartmann's mountain zebras, and bat-eared foxes.
A formal dining room and an outdoor boma area are just some dining options at the lodge. You also have the option of reserving a private candle-lit dinner in a tranquil natural setting.
An on-site spa offers massages, facials, and other beauty and wellness treatments.

Location & Setting

Kwessi Dunes is in the wilderness of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, a landscape of iconic red dunes, rolling plains, and rigid mountains. The lodge offers easy access to the region's highlights, Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, and Sesriem Canyon. It is accessible from a local airstrip or overland from Swakopmund or Windhoek with a drive of just under and over four hours.

This lodge provides guests with a truly one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experience with its twelve spacious, exquisitely designed suites. The suite's neutral color scheme and natural materials blend perfectly with the surroundings to create a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. There are outdoor showers, and each room has a separate 'stargazer room' from which the night skies can be admired.
