Location & Setting

Ongava is set on a hillside with uninterrupted views of the plains below. It is at most fifteen minutes from Andersson Gate, the most southerly and easily accessible of the entry points to Etosha National Park. The lodge can be reached overland or accessed from a local airstrip. Ongava is one of the finest safari lodges near Etosha.

Rooms

Fourteen en suite chalets constructed of rock and thatch provide guests with luxurious accommodation on safari, one of which is a two-bedroomed family unit, each with its own bathroom. The air-conditioned suites are spacious and have small safe and tea/coffee facilities. The rooms lead out onto private verandas - the ideal place to enjoy a sunset while sipping a sundowner during your safari.

Facilities

The main lodge features a split-level lounge, dining room, and pub area. A floodlit waterhole at night provides some exceptional game viewing opportunities from the main lodge and its viewing deck. The lodge also features a swimming pool, which provides an oasis on those hot summer afternoons. Safari game drives are conducted daily in Etosha or on the Ongava Reserve.
