Clifftop is a drive of roughly three hours from Johannesburg. It is set in the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve near Vaalwater in the beautiful Waterberg region. The lodge commands a dramatic setting at the edge of a deep ravine, with sweeping views of adjacent hilltops and plains.
The lodge features eight air-conditioned en-suite guest rooms. These spacious lodgings have large bathrooms, a lounge, a bedroom, and an outside area with a deck. The decks offer splendid private views across the reserve and boast plunge pools. The bathrooms feature a stone bath and shower. Each unit has a tea and coffee station, safe, toiletries, and a fully stocked minibar.
Central areas are positioned on a cliff overlooking the ancient valley chiseled out of rock over millennia by the Sterkstroom River. There is a comfortable lounge bar, indoor dining area, and a deck with some of the grandest views of Welgevonden.
