The lodge offers game-viewing activities, including game drives, bush walks, and night drives in the Big Five wilderness of Welgevonden Private Reserve.
The lodge is about three hours from the airport in Johannesburg. It is ideal for families who would like to experience a Big Five safari adventure without the risk of malaria.
The surrounding nature reserve hosts many fine examples of Bushman rock art.

Location & Setting

Ekhutunleni Lodge is nestled in the Waterberg Mountains' bushveld, surrounded by rolling hills and savannah grassland. Ekhutunleni Lodge's grounds are ideal for exploring the surrounding wildlife. It is a drive of roughly three hours from Johannesburg. Wellgevonden Private Game Reserve, where the lodge is located, is home to buffalo, lion, leopard, elephant, and rhino, and a great diversity of plains game species.

Rooms

Only five intimate private suites with en-suite bathrooms, private balconies, and modern amenities accommodate guests at Ekhutuleni. All suites offer sweeping views of the surrounding wilderness, and each is fitted with an outdoor shower for an immersive feeling of being at one with nature.

Facilities

Ekhutuleni is a stunning example of African architecture with its thatched roofs and open-air design. Central areas include comfortable lounges, a cozy dining room, and a sheltered deck where meals can be savored while admiring the inspiring natural surroundings. A swimming pool is available at the main lodge.
