From: POADe Hoop Nature Reserve is one of the best preserved coastal fynbos habitats in the world, with a stunning array of floral diversity ranging from proteas and ericas of different colors, to restios and smaller flowering plants that help elevate the surrounding landscape to a world on its own. Eland, the endemic Bontebok, and Zebra can be seen throughout the park, along with a myriad of bird species that feed on the fynbos nectar.
Lekkerwater is an exclusive lodge, with only 7 rooms, hosting a maximum of 14 guests at a time, each just as luxurious as the next. Each spacious room is complete with air conditioning, a mini-bar, luxury finishings, heated towel racks, television and luxury finishes to match the stunning view of the ocean and rugged coastline to the south. All rooms are sustainable, off-grid units, minimizing any effect on the surrounding natural beauty here.
Lekkerwater's focus on sustainability and luxury mean that most of the activities here are anchored in the surrounding natural landscape, with guided beach or safari walks one of the highlights, showcasing some of the 260 bird species found here. The main lodge has a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean, and there are a number of cycling trails that cross the length and breadth of the nature reserve, with a bay and restuarant just a few hundred meters from the main lodge.
