Overview

Forest Camp, set beneath massive Quinine trees, overlooks a waterhole and the forest; the camp has a verandah where guests can sit quietly, waiting for animals to come and quench their thirst.

Highlights & What to Expect

Guests can visit the rehabilitation center that contributes to the conservation of endangered species. They care for orphaned and injured animals, nursing them back to health before returning them to the wild.
Because the lodge is so close to the Kruger National Park, guests can go for a game drive during the daytime and return to the lodge in the evening.
The area includes river rafting and boat cruises on the Blyde River dam with views of impressive natural scenery.
Listen to the songs of a wide variety of bird life while viewing birds and other animals from the hide at the main waterhole.
Game drives are conducted on the Moholoholo Reserve.

Location & Setting

The camp is surrounded by forests and acacia woodland, set against majestic mountains. Various antelope species, giraffes, zebra, and bird species are prominent in the area. The camp is about forty-five minutes from the Kruger National Park and half an hour from Hoedspruit.

Rooms

Up to 20 guests can be accommodated in the camp's ten log and reed cabins. Each cabin has its own en suite bathroom and balcony where guests can relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. The cabin walls are built with reeds, and they have thatched roofs to ensure true serenity and an African atmosphere.

Facilities

Moholoholo Forest Camp has a thatched lounge and dining room where sumptuous meals are served. Alternatively, enjoy a delicious meal around a log fire in the reed boma. Tea and coffee with snacks are available 24 hours a day.
