The nearby Mapungubwe National Park is home to some of the oldest pre-colonial ruins in South Africa, while the Mapesu Private Game Reserve is home to a number of birds and over 40 species of mammal, from lions to elephants and wild dogs. As a result, there is a wide range of things to do in the area, and a number of special activities and experiences conducted from the lodge itself.
Mopane Bush Lodge is an intimate and luxurious enclosure, with 8 African-style thatched roof chalets to choose from. All chalets are comfortably furnished with local decorations and neat finishes. All rooms come with Wi-Fi, outdoor showers, a mini-bar, air-conditioning and all the basic ammenities one would expect of accommodation of this level.
