Highlights & What to Expect

On game drives, career guides impart their knowledge and experience of the animals and the ecosystem in which they live.
A maximum of six guests are accommodated on a game drive vehicle, ensuring everyone has an unobstructed view.
Game drive vehicles feature bucket seats, adding to the comfort of your safari drives.
Only two vehicles will be at any sighting, ensuring an intimate game-viewing experience.
Daily bush walks explore the surrounding wilderness on foot.

Location & Setting

The lodge is in the western part of the world-renowned Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, part of Greater Kruger Kruger National Park. Savanna lies in an area with frequent Big Five sightings, and it would be common to see all of the Big Five daily. Reaching the lodge requires a flight to Skukuza airport and, from there, a transfer into the Sabi Sand via Newington Gate.

Rooms

All suites have air-conditioning, electronic safes, fans, telephones, and fully-stocked minibars with coffee/tea facilities. The four luxury suites are canvas-draped and tucked away amidst shady trees. These suites boast large free-standing bubble baths, indoor and outdoor showers, and spacious private decks. The three executive suites are a cut above, larger, and enhanced by private plunge pools with waterhole views. The Savanna Suite is a two-bedroomed thatched unit with opulent en suite bathrooms. The suite also boasts a private plunge pool, fully-equipped kitchen, and lounge with television. The Savanna Suite includes a butler at dinner and a private game-viewing vehicle with a dedicated ranger.

Facilities

The lodge's central area includes a swimming pool and public lounge with a barman attending to all guests. The lodge's library offers wireless internet access. Dinners are gourmet and candlelit, enhancing your South African safari experience. Enjoy your meal in a clearing in the bush or fireside under the stars in the open boma.
