Location & Setting

Explorer Camp offers adventure seekers an authentic African safari experience on a plateau between sandstone extrusions in Shamwari Private Game Reserve. The entire experience, from the walks, dining, bathing, and sleeping, focuses on feeling integrated in nature.

Rooms

Three canvas tents are blended with wood and nested in the bush. Each tent can accommodate two adults. Tents feature two single beds and have an outdoor solar-powered shower. From here, you will enjoy spectacular views of the grasslands and plains, where wildlife roam freely. Each tent is equipped with LED solar-powered lights.

Facilities

Explorer Camp has a range of mainly outdoor-based facilities, including a rock pool, a viewing deck, a dining tent, and a fire pit where nighttime meals are served under the stars. It caters to the adventurous and not to those seeking a luxury safari.
